The Choir comprises members of African Catholics from various parts of Africa who are drawn together by their love of God, music and their respective African culture.  The music ministry provided by the Choir celebrates the awesome diversity of African Gospel and worship music from different countries in Africa and various parts of the world. Through the Choir’s ministry, members hope that those who hear the music will be touched to grow in faith, grow in a deeper understanding of African worship; and teach others to embrace and celebrate their diverse cultures and faiths.  The Choir aims to help teach others in the US  about African Catholic praise and worship through music and liturgical dance as well as serve as a bridge to African Catholic Choirs in the Motherland in helping build their Church worship ministries.  The Choir has provided music ministry in various Catholic Churches in Maryland , DC, and Virginia since 2004 including that for the first National African Eucharist Congress held at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in 2006
